Credit unions are not covered by the FDIC; however, they are covered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) which works similarly as the FDIC. The federal government oversees the NCUA and insures the accounts of all of our members with the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF).
